Look! is a series of paintings where the landscape is fragmented and reconfigured. While observation of nature provided the starting point, the act of seeing itself, with its inherent relativity and subjectivity, became just as important. I was drawn to moments when vision is disrupted and optical impressions – illusions and afterimages – shape the way the image is perceived.
