SUSURRUS

The series of three drawings Susurrus closed the exhibition Elements. The works depict streams of water –rain in its various forms – an attempt to capture a dynamic, resonant phenomenon within a static, silent medium. Using a delicate line, I convey both movement and the force of nature. The result is a quiet narrative about an element that carries the potential for life and change, yet is also capable of violence. Rather than foregrounding its power, I shift attention toward the vulnerability of the systems that sustain life on Earth. I propose a change in emphasis: from image to sound, from representation to experience. Here, rain – an everyday phenomenon – is filtered through memory, hearing, and imagination, becoming a symbol of life, fluidity, and ecological balance.
